Following the recession in 2008, the founder, Capt. James Evanow found himself in the Gulf of Mexico looking for new business opportunities. As a former commercial fisherman of 25 years, his passion for boats and the working class has never escaped him. What was perplexing to him was to see the ebb and flow of equipment based on natural disasters, man-made disasters and the economy. What was even more perplexing was how some brokers did their business. There was a definite need for transparency and clear communication, and Trawler Logistics filled that void.
